Surveillance for Hearts of Hope

As part of Mandela Day, Wires & Wireless installed CCTV cameras and monitors around the property to ensure the safety of the children at Hearts of Hope.

Hearts of Hope

A safe haven for 34 children in Wendywood, Johannesburg. Providing individual attention and intervention specific to each child’s physical, mental and emotional needs. Hearts of Hope cuurently care for 34 orphaned and vulnerable children, aged between birth and 18 years old. The wonderful team of management, caregivers and volunteers who together ensure the children are equipped to be the competent, independent individuals they can be.

Hearts of Hope have 3 primary areas of operation. This first being the children’s home. Hearts of Hope also support disadvantaged schools through the provision of equipment and resources, teacher training, feeding schemes and HIV awareness programmes. Vulnerable children are also supported within local communities, usually within child-headed households, through psycho-social interventions and the provision of basic needs, enabling them to become self sustainable and independent.
